Why we like it

The new Lenovo ThinkPad T520 is a full-size workhorse that is  incredibly powerful and is one of Lenovo's most popular professional units. It is solidly-built and has been designed for many years of service. One of its most notable features is its 15.6'' diagonal widescreen LCD monitor that sports a resolution of 1600x900, which is perfect for editing two documents side-by-side and for screening HD movies during downtime. Other features include a large desktop-like keyboard and the choice of using either an eraser-head pointing stick or a large touchpad to move the cursor around. These are just some of the things that make it so easy and comfortable to use this computer all day long in the office and then to swoop it up for a business meeting or for the trip home.

While you’re on the road, its special security features, which include a fingerprint reader and an internal security chip, can be optionally employed to protect your data from any unauthorized access.

In addition to the standard ports, plugs, and slots, it includes a total of 4 USB ports, an eSATA port for connecting external hard drives, a DisplayPort for full HD video output to an external monitor, the latest "n" standard for high-speed wireless network access, and an integrated webcam.

This hard drive imaging software is a simple, automatic way to record an exact copy of the contents of your computer’s hard drive. System Recovery is simply the best backup software that we've ever used. It actually records a picture, or an image, of your computer’s hard drive structure, which can then be used for complete hard drive restorations or to restore just one individual file.

What we do

• We install, update, configure, and test System Recovery.
• We create and include an emergency recovery CD.
• We create a hidden recovery partition on your computer's hard drive that will contain an image of the drive as it was on the day that we shipped the computer to you.
• We will create a backup task that will automatically backup your system and store it on the included external USB hard drive.

 

Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition

This is a top-of-the-line, professional, enterprise-grade antivirus, antispyware, firewall, and intrusion prevention software suite. It will watch and protect you while you compute in the office or on the road in a way that no other product can. We install this security suite on every in-house desktop, laptop, and file server in our office, as well as on every customer computer that we configure.

• We configure the software for automated background operation and to run a weekly deep scan of your hard drive.

 

SUPERAntiSpyware Professional

This high-tech antispyware program actively protects your computer from many types of malware, including search hijackers, browser hijackers, keyloggers, ghost spammers, and adware. We specify this software to work in concert with Symantec Endpoint Protection; with both of them, you are well-covered.

• We set up the software for automated background operation and to run a weekly deep spyware scan.

Preparation & Testing Time

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, build-up, customization, and testing time for this package is approximately 2 weeks, at which point it will be packaged and shipped to you.

Standard Shipping

FedEx Ground service to the lower 48 states is a $59.95 flat rate. If this item is shipping to Alaska or Hawaii, we will invoice you for additional FedEx charges after your order has been completed. We ship only within the 50 states in the United States. Please note that a signature will be required upon delivery for all shipping methods.

Upgraded Shipping

We also offer FedEx 2-Day or FedEx Standard Overnight services as direct-bill options. If you would like a rate quote for these services, please contact us after your purchase and we will respond with a detailed rate quote prior to shipping your order.

All Orders Shipping to California: Mandatory $8.00 Electronic Waste Fee

This fee is MANDATORY for orders shipping to a California address. It is applicable specifically to the LCD monitor and applies to each unit, so if your order includes two monitors you must pay two eWaste fees. We will invoice you for this fee after your order has been completed.
